Forecasted Weather Influences
Light snow showers overnight and during the morning will become more persistent in the afternoon. Moderate to strong winds will be from the North-West, and the freezing level will be around 900 metres.
Forecasted Snow Stability and Avalanche Hazard
Fresh areas of poorly bonded windslab will be deposited mainly on East to South aspects above 900 metres. These areas are not expected to be extensive, and should generally be avoidable. A few minor instabilities will also exist on steep slopes on other aspects. Weak cornices will remain prone to collapse. The avalanche hazard will be Considerable.

Observed Weather Influences
It was a cloudy day with some light drizzle. The freezing level was around the summits.
Observed Snow Stability and Avalanche Hazard
The large deposits of moderate and well bonded windslab which exists on many aspects above 900 metres were starting to become wet in the milder conditions. Minor instabilities exist on steep slopes on all aspects above 900 metres. Weak cornices were prone to collapse. The avalanche hazard is Moderate.
