Forecasted Weather Influences
A dry night will be followed by prolonged snow showers on Sunday. The winds will be strong North-Westerlies with the freezing level lowering to 400 metres.
Forecasted Snow Stability and Avalanche Hazard
New localised accumulations of weakly bonded windslab will develop mainly in sheltered areas on Easterly to Southerly aspects above 800 metres. Gully flanks and scarp slopes will also be affected by cross loading on other aspects. Elsewhere the old snowpack will remain well bonded and stable. The avalanche hazard will be Considerable.

Observed Weather Influences
It has been mainly dry with occasional drizzle at lower altitudes and strong Westerly winds. The freezing level was at around 1000 metres.
Observed Snow Stability and Avalanche Hazard
The snowpack is generally well bonded and stable in most areas. Instabilities are localised and affecting mainly steep sheltered terrain on Easterly to Southerly aspects above 950 metres. The avalanche hazard is Moderate.
