There has been a light dusting of snow overnight, although there has been no significant new snow accumulations. Snowpack stability remains generally good. The avalanche hazard is Low (Category 1)

AVALANCHE HAZARD OUTLOOK TUE 06/01/2009

Snow showers are expected throughout the forecast period with the freezing level gradually rising to summit level by the afternoon. Localised areas of unstable snow will be present. These will generally be restricted to the tops of North, North-East and East aspects above 1000m. The avalanche hazard will be Moderate (Category 2)

CLIMBING CONDITIONS

SNOW DISTRIBUTION: Fresh dusting of snow above 700m.
ICING: Freezing at all levels
COMMENT: Gradually warming up during Tuesday
