strong nw winds and snow showers have led to a build up of unstable
windslab in all sheltered areas, in particular steep south to east facing
slopes and gullies. category 4 (high localised) risk of avalanche.

a forecast of moderate, later light, ne winds and light snow showers
is expected to create areas of  windslab on slopes of a generally
southerly aspect. areas of high hazard noted on friday likely to see
only little improvement.  avalanche activity is likely, giving a category
3 (medium localised) risk of avalanche.
