in these areas, with avalanche activity observed.

light snow and strong ne winds overnight will continue to form
windslab mainly on slopes and gullies with a sw to nw aspect above
800m, where avalanches will occur. no significant change to avalanche
risk category 4 (high).

northern cairngorms

moderate snow showers and moderate to fresh e winds have created
accumulations of marginally stable windslab on slopes and gullies of
a w aspect. some localised scouring noted in n. corries but many
climb approach slopes and high sheltered areas remain very 'slabby'.
