light to moderate overnight snow showers and n winds have created
areas of poorly consolidated windslab high on slopes of a generally s
aspect. approach slopes to climbs in n. corries also remain suspect
in places. two small slab avalanches triggered on steep ground low in
coire raibert. category 3 (medium localised) risk of avalanche.

the present generally stable weather is forecast to continue
throughout the period but light to moderate se winds may redeposit
lying fresh snow as patches of windslab on slopes and gullies of a n
aspect giving a category 3 (medium localised) risk of avalanche in
those areas.

current category 3 (medium localised) risk of avalanche.

avalanche risk at 1500 on fri 7/1/94
unstable windslab has formed on slopes and gullies of a sw-nw aspect
above 800m.there are deep accumulations of unstable soft slab in gullies of
all aspects. avalanche risk category 4 (high) large cornices have
formed above sw-n slopes.

avalanche risk outlook for sat 8/1/94
moderate southerly winds increasing to gale force will form unstable
windslab mainly on slopes and gullies of a northerly aspect above
800m. much of the existing unstable snow will remain unchanged in the
continuing cold weather. avalanches will occur. avalanche risk
category 4 (high).

summary.
deep unstable snow in many gullies and sheltered slopes, avalanche
risk will remain 4 (high) with continuing cold weather.

avalanche risk at 1500 on fri 7/1/93
fresh areas of unstable windslab exist mainly in gullies and slopes
with a s-sw aspect. the avalanche risk is category 4 (high).

avalanche risk outlook for sat 8/1/93
forecasted strengthening winds from s will form fresh windslab
mainly on n facing slopes. unstable windslab will remain on s-sw
facing slopes. avalanches will occur in affected areas. the avalanche
risk is expected to remain at category 4 (high).

summary.
unstable conditions  will persist on slopes with a s-sw aspect as
well as n facing slopes.risk remaining at category 4 (high).
