continuing heavy snow and strong sw winds will further load lee
slopes with large areas of unstable windslab. avalanches will occur,
especially on n and e aspects. the avalanche risk will remain at
category 4 (high).

storm force s winds and heavy snow showers have created areas of
unstable windslab in sheltered gully areas and on slopes of a n
aspect. some localised scouring and cornice development high on rims
of n.corries with wet heavy snow on low on approach routes. category
4 (high) risk of avalanche.

avalanche risk outlook for thu 13/1/94
forecasted light to moderate snow showers and fresh, later moderate,
sw winds will continue to load unstable windslab onto high slopes and
gullies of a generally n aspect where avalanches will occur. category
4 (high) risk of avalanche.
