AVALANCHE RISK OUTLOOK FOR MON 7/2/94 Light to moderate snow showers and moderate S winds will maintain the current Category 4 (High) risk of avalanche on all high N facing slopes and gullies where avalanches will occur. SUMMARY. No change to current Category 4 (High) risk of avalanche on all N facing slopes and gullies where avalanches will occur. GLENCOE AVALANCHE RISK AT 1500 ON SUN 6/2/94. The old snow pack has consolidated and has formed an icy surface layer, on which fresh new snow is lying. Deepest accumulations are to be found on most slopes above 750m, but especially in gullies and sheltered hollows with a W through to N aspect. Large cornices have formed above most N facing corries. Avalanche Risk Category 3 (Medium). AVALANCHE RISK OUTLOOK FOR MON 7/2/94. New snow with strong S/SW winds will continue to deposit fresh snow above 700m. Accumulations of fresh snow will be unstable with greatest deposits lying on slopes with a N to E aspect, but mainly in sheltered areas and in gullies. Avalanche Risk Category 3 (Medium). LOCHABER AVALANCHE RISK AT 1500 ON SUN 6/2/94 Soft unconsolidated snow exists mainly on N aspects and on some E aspects. This snow lies on an icy base. Where this soft snow exists, the avalanche risk is Category 3 (Medium). AVALANCHE RISK OUTLOOK FOR MON 7/2/94 Snow showers and southerly winds will continue to load lee slopes with unstable snow. Avalanches are likely where this fresh snow exists. The avalanche risk will be Category 3 (Medium). SUNMMARY.
