GLENCOE
AVALANCHE RISK AT 1500 ON SAT 19/2/94
Generally there is a refrozen stable surface crust on the snowpack. Above
850m there are areas of fresh windslab on NE through to W
facing slopes, mainly in gullies and hollows. Avalanche Risk Category
3 (Medium Localised).

AVALANCHE RISK OUTLOOK FOR SUN 20/2/94
Moderate snowfall and strong SSE winds will give some further accumulation
of windslab, mainly on NE through to W facing slopes above 850m. Avalanche
Risk Category 3 (Medium Localised).

SUMMARY.
Generally stable snowpack, but areas of windslab on NE through to W
facing slopes above 850m giving Avalanche Risk 3 (Medium Localised).

AVALANCHE RISK AT 1500 ON SAT 19/2/94
A generally stable snowpack exists on most aspects. Small areas of
unstable snow still exist, however these are generally confined to
northerly aspects. The avalanche risk is Category 3 (Medium
Localised).

AVALANCHE RISK OUTLOOK FOR SUN 20/2/94
Some light snow overnight and tomorrow, accompanied by strong SSE
winds will further load N and NW aspects with unstable snow. On other
aspects, the snowpack will be generally stable. The avalanche risk is
expected to remain at Category 3 (Medium Localised).

SUMMARY.
Light snow and strong SSE winds will load N and NW aspects with
unstable snow. Risk will remain at Category 3 (Medium Localised).
