the snowpack in some areas of high, steep n and nw facing slopes and

are present on most nw facing slopes, with areas of marginally stable
windslab present at relatively low altitudes in some locations in
coire an-t sneachda. category 4 (high localised) risk of avalanche.
avalanche and cornice debris noted on slopes n of mess of potage in
coire an t-sneachda.

avalanche risk outlook for sun 27/2/94
a steady rise in freezing level to 600m should bring about some
consolidation of the snowpack at lower altitudes on slopes and
gullies of a n aspect. however, any new windslab that forms on sw
through to n facing slopes as a result of moderate to heavy snow with
e then ne winds, will show weak stability. category 4 (high
localised) risk of avalanche high on some slopes and gullies of a sw
to n aspect where avalanches will occur.

snowfall overnight and into sun. and strong e winds will deposit
windslab on sw through to n facing slopes, particularly in gullies
and hollows above 700m. avalanches are likely in these areas.
