Heavy snow overnight and tomorrow accompanied by gale force SW winds
will form fresh areas of unstable windslab. Greatest accumulations
will be on north-easterly aspects and other sheltered locations,
where avalanches are likely. The avalanche risk is expected to be
Category 3 (Medium).

Fluctuating temps and a return to colder conditions have produced a
generally stable snowpack. Avalanche risk Category 2 (Low).

AVALANCHE RISK OUTLOOK FOR WED 9/3/94
Forecasted moderate to heavy snow showers and strong W then SW winds
will result in fresh deposits of windslab primarily on NE to E facing
slopes and gullies. Where significant accumulations exist avalanches
are likely. Category 3 (Medium) risk of avalanche.

AVALANCHE RISK AT 1500 ON TUE 8/3/94
Thaw conditions at all levels have moistened and softened the
snowpack. Avalanche Risk Category 3 (Medium). Overnight avalanche
debris was noted in Coire Na Tulaich.

AVALANCHE RISK OUTLOOK FOR WED 9/3/94
Becoming colder with light/moderate snowfall and strong WSW winds.
The existing snowpack will start to consolidate as freezing level
drops to around 600m but new snow will form areas of unstable
windslab mainly on N through to SE facing slopes and sheltered areas
above 650m. Avalanche Risk Category 3 (Medium Localised). Avalanches
are likely in areas of greatest accumulation.
