AVALANCHE RISK AT 1500 ON FRI 18/3/94
There is a widespread cover of fresh snow which has formed areas of
windslab of varying density on NW through NE to S facing slopes above
600m. Avalanche Risk Category 4 (High). Avalanche debris was observed
below Summit Gully, Stob Coire nam Beith.

AVALANCHE RISK OUTLOOK FOR SAT 19/3/94
Moderate/high snowfall above 300m. and strong NW wind veering N and
becoming fresh will widen the cover of windslab, which will exist on
slopes of all aspects above 600m, especially in gullies and hollows.
Avalanche Risk Category 4 (High). Avalanches will occur where
accumulations of windslab are greatest.

SUMMARY.
Avalanches will occur where deep deposits of windslab exist. Such
areas are possible on all slopes above 600m. Avalanche Risk 4 (High).

AVALANCHE RISK AT 1500 ON FRI 18/3/94
Large areas of unstable snow are present, mainly on NE, E and SE
facing slopes. Avalanche activity observed in eastern corries of
Aonach Mor. The avalanche risk is Category 4 (High).

AVALANCHE RISK OUTLOOK FOR SAT 19/3/94
Further unstable snow accumulations are expected on NE, E and SE
facing slopes, where avalanches will occur. Cornices will remain very
unstable. The avalanche risk will remain at Category 4 (High).

SUMMARY.
Avalanches will occur on NE, E and SE facing slopes. Cornices will
remain unstable. Risk will be Category 4 (High).

AVALANCHE RISK AT 1500 ON 18/3/94
Very little new snow has fallen onto the hard,icy and generally
stable snowpack.Localised accumulations of marginally stable windslab
exist on high E facing slopes and gullies. Avalanche risk Category 3
(Medium Localised).

AVALANCHE RISK OUTLOOK FOR 19/3/94
Forecasted mod/strong NW winds becoming N accompanied by further
snowfall is expected to develop windslab primarily on E and SE facing
slopes and gullies.Where significant deposits exist avalanches will
occur in these areas. Category 4 (High) risk of avalanche.

SUMMARY.
Further snow and mod/strong winds will result in a Category 4 (High)
risk of avalanche.Avalanches will occur on E and SE facing slopes and
gullies.
