Avalanche debris observed in main gullies of Corie na Ciste, Ben Nevis. On slopes which have not already released, the avalanche risk is Category 4 (High). AVALANCHE RISK OUTLOOK FOR WED 23/3/94 A thaw overnight followed by colder conditions tomorrow, will help stabilise the existing snowpack. Fresh snow above 1000m will form unstable windslab on easterly aspects, where avalanches will occur. The avalanche risk will be Category 3 (Medium). SUMMARY. Snowpack stabilising overnight.
