LOCHABER AVALANCHE RISK AT 1500 ON FRI 25/3/94 Areas of unstable snow exist, on easterly aspects and other areas sheltered from the westerly wind. The avalanche risk is Category 3 (Medium). AVALANCHE RISK OUTLOOK FOR SAT 26/3/94 No fresh snow is expected, but NW winds overnight and W winds tomorrow will continue to load easterly aspects and lee slopes with unstable windslab. The avalanche risk will be Category 3 (Medium). SUMMARY. Westerly winds continuing to load unstable windslab on easterly aspects and lee slopes.
