AVALANCHE HAZARD OUTLOOK MON 12/2/96 No significant snowfall is expected within the next 24hrs and the freezing level will remain about 600m. This will have little effect on the existing snowpack. AVALANCHE HAZARD OUTLOOK MON 12/2/96 Light snow showers will not significantly change the snowpack. Where deeper deposits of windslab lie in steep gullies and headwalls facing W through to NE avalanches are likely.The avalanche hazard will be Considerable (Category 3) CLIMBING CONDITIONS SNOW DISTRIBUTION: Snow above 400m. ICING: Ice above 400m.
