AVALANCHE HAZARD OUTLOOK THU 15/2/96 Milder conditions are expected overnight and tomorrow, with the freezing level rising to above the summits. Existing areas of slab will become weakly bonded. Avalanches are likely on slopes and gullies with aspects between SW and NE. The avalanche hazard is expected to be Considerable (Category 3). CLIMBING CONDITIONS SNOW DISTRIBUTION: Main accumulations on West and North aspects above 600m. ICING: Ice and snow will thaw at all levels on Thursday.
