Large, fresh, unstable cornices have formed along the corrie rim. The avalanche hazard is Considerable (Category 3) in the above mentioned areas. AVALANCHE HAZARD OUTLOOK SUN 13/12/98 A steep rise in temperature will cause a period of high instability. Wet snow avalanches will occur on steep, sheltered slopes of a N through to SE aspect above 700m. Cornice collapse will cause further risk. The avalanche hazard will be High (Category 4). CLIMBING CONDITIONS SNOW DISTRIBUTION: Complete cover above 500m. ICING: Superb ice conditions everywhere!
