How to Subscribe
A person can subscribe to the service by sending any of the following keywords to the number 88020
The relevant area text will be sent out daily at 1800 hrs
Keywords are as follows:
- saisnc for (North Cairngorms area)
- saislo for (Lochaber area)
- saissc for (South Cairngorms area)
- saisgl for (Glencoe area)
- saiscm for (Creag Meagaidh area)
Having sent the keyword to the number 88020 you will be sent a free text which will confirm that the text service is active and will explain the cost and how to terminate.
SAIS reports will be charged £1 for every individual area daily message received until terminated.
To terminate the service send the keyword TERMINATE to 88020 This will terminate all the areas that have been subscribed to (1 to 5) and the following message will be sent; ‘you have unsubscribed from the Sportscotland Avalanche Information service and will not receive anymore messages’
