Live Mountain Weather Stations

SAIS operates a network of mountain weather stations which SAIS forecasters refer to for weather factors from which snow distribution and snowpack stability impacts can be determined. This information is incorporated into daily avalanche reports. Provides real time temperature and wind information for those venturing onto the summits.

Creag Meagaidh – 903m

Aonach Mor – 1185m

Station info: Located in the Lochaber Forecast area on the summit plateau of Aonach Mor at 1185m elevation in the Ben Nevis Range. The adjacent Met Office weather station provides wind information. With grateful thanks to Nevis Range for cooperation and support.
