Forecasted Weather Influences

Overnight and during the day the winds will be strong North-Westerly with snow showers that will become less frequent in the daytime. The freezing level will be at 750 metres.

Forecasted Snow Stability and Avalanche Hazard

The currently moist snow pack that exists at all levels will refreeze and become more stable. However new accumulations of snow will drift and form unstable windslab on mainly East to Southerly aspects above 900 metres. Gully flanks and scarp slopes will be affected with localised accumulations due to cross loading. The avalanche hazard will be Considerable.
